Just wanted to give some love to the JHS Lucky cat. Found a slightly dinged-up one for cheap. For me it checks all the boxes.

- Tap Tempo
- Transparency (The “Darken” knob lets you have total clarity or low-fi vibes. I found this instantly useful on bass.)
- Digital and Tape options (Both sound rad and usable)
- Small footprint
- Affordable second hand
- Quarter note, dotted 8th, 8th, and triplet options.
- True Bypass (I don’t want tails so this is a win for me)
- Other fun stuff like modulation and and a secondary input that applies effects to the delay signal

Anyone else enjoying this pedal?

Something very similar, and still being made (I think), is the Swindler Magic City. Only missing the triplet subdivision.
Oh yeah this is super similar, and admittedly much easier to read than the blackout version of the lucky cat.

I noticed that the pink version of the lucky cat is currently valued much higher than the blackout, I assume for readability and aesthetic. Also neither seem to be in production currently, so buying used may be the only option.

If someone is looking to buy new, the Swindler Magic City might be a better way to go.
