Title says it all. Had a number of years of lessons about 15 years ago, never practiced seriously enough due to age but eager to get back into playing and learning. Looking for a teacher who can help assess my playing and theory gaps (not exactly starting from square one), and would like to focus on jazz. Probably sounds obvious but looking for someone who has a pretty disciplined approach to pedagogy with lots of insights into how to practice, what the practice, breaking down a chart, and teaching jazz theory for starters. Based in NYC environs but open to weekly skype/zoom sessions to. Happy to pay a bit of a premium for a dedicated teacher. Anyone have recs on folks they know of or love? Thank you!

Ant Wellington and his Bassology are a top choice for long-distance lessons via Skype/Zoom etc. That said, I guess you could even schedule lessons with other top names such as Rich Brown, Tony Grey, Joe Hubbard, Rufus Philpot etc, as many of them seem to be willing to work that way.
