Does anyone here deal with Japarts.ca? Hear from Josh lately? I haven't received a reply to my last two messages.
Any other good sources for parts in Canada? Specifically, I'm looking for Gotoh parts.

I don’t know about Japarts but I’ve good experiences ordering from Solo Music. They have at least some Gotoh parts.

I'm trying to find an alternative to Schaller and Hipshot... They've gotten far too expensive in the last few years.
Gotohs seem to be more reasonably priced and appear to be very good quality in my experience.

Next Gen Canada - Parts for Amps, Guitars, Pedals, and Pickups can also special order Gotoh stuff. Reliable, but can take about 6 months until it arrives.

While we're at this, does anybody know why unlike Schaller, Grover, etc., there is no retail distributor for Gotoh in the US? Always puzzled me that if you wanted to go deep in their catalog, you'd have to go offshore.

Stateside I use Philadelphia Luthier Tools for ordering Gotoh. I'm not sure if they're the "distributor", but they have a lot in stock.

I also use solo. They are great. I got some Ibanez style knobs for an excellent price and they look higher quality than what comes on the stock models.

Ah! Helpful to know someone's heard from them lately. Last time I ordered from them, he had replied the same day.

I suspect it's a bit of a one man operation. Actually, I was just opening up a package to re-start a project and found another order that I got from them in the last few months: this one for some Gotoh tuners and some Ibanez Japan knobs. So there's hope. [BTW, I grew up in Freddiesburg!]

Please help out a European. When I googled that name I got Fredericksburg, Texas. But my gut tells me you may mean Fredericton?
