Jazz 5 string split coils - what's the verdict?

Hi, i want to put a set of split coils into my Fender jazz deluxe 5, i had an earlier model Fender 5 with a set of the Nordstrand NJ5S but the B string sounded a bit thin, however that could have been the old Fender 9v preamp?
So does anyone have any experience with the following -
Aguilar 5J-HC - these splits sound very good on video clips, very open sounding like single coils.
Bartolini B Axis - i like the idea of the angled poles to pick up more string area = more sound?
Nordstrand J Blades - these aren't splits, but does anyone have any comments on how noisy they are. I like the idea of the blade picking up all of the B string vibration when played, because the Fender N3's i have at the moment, the B is way off the centre of the two poles and sounds weak.
I am playing a lot of rock and even dub style at the moment and so a B string with a good low end is what i'm after.
Any advice of the above or any other suggestions would be very helpful - thanks in advance.

Interesting, I wonder if it was some setup issue... my experience installing NJ5Fs is that the B improve a lot....
The BjB are indeed single coil and they hum like any single coil (with a good shielding you might be able to keep it a little under control), if you play most of the time with both pup equal or favoring one or the other just a tiny bit, they are not problematic

I've used Fender, Hansen, DiMarzio, Duncan, and Nordstrand pickups. There are many more, but I can tell you my choice is the Nordstrand NJ5s (or NJ4s for four strings). Great sounding jazz pickup with no hum.
