Just a quick question on whether the JHS Four Wheeler plays nice with active basses. I emailed JHS directly and this is the reply I got: "Thanks for the email. The 4w has a toggle switch to cut the input down for higher output instruments. It works great with active pickups. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks". I checked to see if a toggle was available on the pedal, and I only saw the Hi/Lo toggle switch which just switches the EQ. So I asked if he was referring to that switch or if there was another switch. He insisted that that switch was the input gain selector. I don't think that's the case, otherwise why would they market it as a Hi/Lo toggle switch with a description of what it does deals with EQ and not input gain?
Not bashing JHS, just confused. I've gone to a lot of music shops in my area and none seem to have this pedal, but other JHS pedals. I looked at pictures of the pedal, even the backside removed shot and can't seem to find that switch. Can anyone confirm if the HI/Lo toggle is the input gain selector? Or if there is even a separate switch for that?
