hello all. this relates to the thread i posted about loud musicians and that thread about earplugs:
back in the 90s there was a bass player mag issue on nashville studio greats and mike chapman detailed on his gear list a 'mor me' headphone mixer. anyone familiar with this? there's not much on the web and all i found was somebody else looking for the same thing on another forum:

Not sure if this will help, but there are a lot of more modern headphone mixers/distribution amps available. Here is a sample: Headphone Amps and Distribution | Sweetwater.com. You can use them for monitoring, but also to signal queues. Some allow you to sub-mix predefined channels so you can have just bass and drums for example. In addition, there are wireless ones.

You can use digital mixers with all their busses as recording interfaces.
For one, the behringer Xr18
Each band member can have their own mix of the whole band and DAW into their own headphones.
