John East DJ Retro Active/Passive preamp upgrade

Hi.

I have my eye on a lakland DJ4 and it has this upgrade. Kind of new to this stuff and wondering what all it would do to the bass and sound?

I just got a used DJ5 with the same preamp, but also has Bartolini B-axis pickups. It sounds phenomenal! I say go for it.
