Johnny Lee Long on His Ric

Ric get nice slap tone stock that is close to a Jazz. This is me slapping a Ric back in May or June:

No doubt! I've got a 4003SW myself, and love the slap tone, too.

Just wanted to add the info about the preamp, so folks wouldn't think that Johnny Lee Long's tone was from a stock Ric.

Dr. Cheese and that passive Rick also sound fantastic! Glad you opened my
eyes to Ricks a few months ago. You were the one who informed me that Leon Sylvers' great basslines on the early Shalamar songs were played on a Rick.

Dr. Cheese, you have an incredible slap tone. Like Larry Graham and Louis Johnson, you slap basses and produce a thunderous tone! :)
