Just noticed my bridge is missing a screw

Title says it all. Ibanez SR406.
The bridge is a diecast 6 string. Not sure exact brand as I’ve never removed it. (Stock Circa 2001.)
About to have the bass serviced soon. Bridge replacement would be cool with options around $100 if anyone wants to chip in their 2 cents. Otherwise it should be an easy fix right? Or have parts changed in the last 23 yrs?
Second photo is just a sr406 I saw on GC that has the name Jesus in like a metalcore logo on it. Felt like it needed to be shared. Thanks in advance. :)

uhm, it looks like somebody moved the saddle all the way forward and the screw fell out.

it's just a screw and a spring, one from hardware store should fit. I'd pick this over the new bridge as on the new one likely the screw is same length and you'll lose it in same manner.

I'd prefer a new bridge however, if it was a better bridge with same screw position, string spacing and adjustment range. define better? a gotoh or a hipshot, for example

Does your current bridge not function? If it does function, buy a replacement OEM screw (or equivalent diameter, length, and thread). Put the remaining $90 some dollars in the bank for something that will really make a profound difference in your sound .

They have that size bolt at Home Depot? It’s Sunday and my only real free day and the music store is closed today and tomorrow for Veterans Day and I have band practice later tonight. I’m going to go try either way but +1000 aura to you if this works.

HD or Lowes maybe, if there’s an Ace or TruValue close they’re much more likely to have a replacement. You might have to get nickel or stainless instead of black.

take the saddle with you and see, if someone has it. measure the length beforehand.

also a valid point that a black one might be harder to find, frankly I didn't think about that. you might have luck with some paint tho (spray?) or change all the screws for what color you're able to source. or just don't bother with a one non-matching screw, it's up to you

Take the same screw out of a different hole then hit your local ACE hardware and match it up. If you can't get a black one, at least you will know what size you need and can order a black one from Amazon, Fastenal, McMaster Carr, etc. An alternative would be to buy a set of stainless or coated steel screws so it will look less cobbled together, at least to me. :smug:
If you live in a decent sized city you might find an industrial supply house that will have it locally rather than having to order it.

I went to Home Depot and I got a screw that fit in silver. It was the 1-3/4” #6-32. $7 Band practice was a go. Love you guys.

I’m actually about to grab a Yamaha TRBX305 in mist green laster this week prolly for my BDay! I and going to have the nut changed so it will be a drop A machine in AEADG eventually. Not sure on the A string size yet I’m going to start with a .140. !
That sounds like a very good place to start. You don't need a new nut, you just need a tiny bit of filing on the A string - a .140 slot will work with a smaller string (you should be using at least a 130 for a B) just fine, should you decide to tune it back up to B.
