Anyone have any experience with the Eminence kappalite 3010 drivers? I know a lot of super cab designs will use the 12" or the 15" but I never see the 10"

If you wanted a to build a monster cab would you use the kappalite series to make an 810, 412, or 215?

I use the 3010, 3012 and 3015. The F110 has one 3010, and the F210 has 2.
I'm referring to the LF models and use them in conjunction with mid and HF driver's.
It would be hard to imagine "needing" more than 2 3012's in that configuration.

If nothing means anything then how to you approach design?
any driver properties on it's own MEANS NOTHING.
With ported cabs any large X max may be either substituted for extended low end or a better mechanical power handling within useable low response.

edit,
Eminence offers four different versions for the 3010.
3010HO
3010MB
3010LF (8 Ohm)
3010LF (4 Ohm)

Without not knowing any essential cabinet design goal such as full range running woofers or multiple way design the speaker specs mean nothing but speaker specs.

Does this mean that you can make cabinets with identical properties using different speakers and internal volume/porting techniques?

Sorry if there is some language barrier. You know English isn't my first language.
It means that cab design starts with distinct sound goals. Depending on sound goals there is kinda shortlist of suitable drivers. The different 3010 series drivers cover a wide range of very different applications respectively cabinet sound goals.

If there was only one sound that would generally cover everybodys cup of tea then an answer to the question was quite easy.

I apologize if I'm coming off as defensive. I'm researching what I can about cabinet design and it seems that speaker size would be step one yet I keep reading that it is the least of your worries. This leads me to a few questions.

Where do you start when choosing a driver?

Does this mean that I can pick any speakers as long as I design the cabinet properly?

Thank you for taking the time to address my posts on the matter so far :)

For MI bass guitar I do start with the question if the cab shall be loaded with a full range running woofer or if the woofer shall have support by a second driver for mids and treble.
Totally different sound goals cause full range running woofers over totally different options than multiple driver cabs.
Especially at overload range of driver and/or amplifier.
