Labella light vrs Extra light flatwounds ?

I am using the light gauge now 43-104 , but wandered what to expect if trying the Extra light gauge , less tension , would there be a lot of tone change or ?? Thanks .

Have you looked into the Labella Low Tension Flats? From the link
"Total Tension in Lbs: 134.90 (1st 36.2, 2nd 34, 3rd 30.5, 4th 34.2)"

Compare those values with the tension of the other strings you are looking at.

There really isn't a huge tone change going from the 760FL set to the FX set.

You should try the LTF4A, nice broken tone out from pack, except the G string sound brighter, but it become even after a week or two.

I have the LTF's on my 2 main basses a P and a J. They by far are my favorites string tone, feel and tension.
