I'm in Florida and just put an oil based Old Masters red mahogany gel stain on a bass body.
I'd like to avoid poly and use an aerosol gloss lacquer clear coat as I'm in a high humidity area and the thin coats and fast dry time sounds good.
That said I've googled and can't seem to find a clear answer on whether lacquer will react badly with the gel stain.
Anybody out there who can drop some knowledge?
