Hey bass brothers and sisters. Anybody good at repairing preamps?
I'm new to DIY fixes and and local shops are closed. All help or suggestions appreciated
This is a Lakland Jazz with Chisonic Humbuckers. Push/Pull tone pot toggles humbucker vs. single coil.
The bridge pickup on this bass started to short out (when turning the volume pot all the way up it would loose signal). Got worse with use, the pickup now is silent.
If I pull the tone pot to put the bass into single coil mode, the pot works fine.
Wondering if it's as simple as replacing the volume pot, tone pot or re-soldering everything (wires don't look loose)?
