Lakland Jbass - J Sonics or Nordstrand SC

Hey all,

I ran a search (not real direct comparison) and am trying to decide on what the J Sonics would bring sonically to one of my basses. I currently have Nordstrand SC in my DJ5 - excellent. I am considering another Lakland, a J Sonic 5, and wanted a different 'voice'.

What tonal differences can I expect? I plan to put an Audere preamp in the new bass, which is already in my DJ5.

Why not go to a different style of bass of you want another voice? Like a P, MM, Ric, hollowbody, fretless etc

Well, I have a Pbass, and an SR5, and a Kala bass.

I keep gravitating back to J basses.
