Hello! I recently tried to play upright bass. I've never played a bass, only saxophone. I went to this week long camp and got a total of five hours of DB lessons. I learned how to finger notes, pluck the strings, etc. So I learned the basics. I really struggle finding the notes on the board, however. It takes me a long time to look at the note on the sheet music, and then find the note on the finger board. Does anyone have suggestions or tips to be able to find notes faster?
