Lindy Fralin Split Jazz - Thumbs Up!

I put a set of Lindy Fralin split Jazz Bass pickups in my Geddy Lee Fender and I'm very pleased with the results! The split pickups are totally quiet soloed, but they still maintain the brightness and clarity of a single coil pickup. Also, they are very well balanced so that the volume remains consistent when using the various pickup combinations, including soloed bridge pickup, which usually produces a volume drop. Very nice, classic Jazz tones with no hum. Pretty expensive though - the set cost me around $250, but I like them! Recommended.

I've had them in my #1 jazz for several years now and they're not going anywhere. I found they get even better when paired with the Sadowsky preamp.

I’ve been using these since 2005 in a Fender, and they’re fantastic. I’ve used four other sets of noiseless J-bass pickups in other basses, and the Fralins are my favorites. My G&L JB now has Lace Man o’ Wars, which are cool as an alternative to the Fralins, but if I had to pick one set, it’s not even close. Fralins FTW!

No, just the standard wind. All these years later and the Fralin/Sadowsky combo is still in the bass and still puts a smile on my face.
