Line 6 M9 + Source Audio

Over the past year I've picked up a Line 6 M9 as well as a Source Audio Manta. A little while back, I explored the idea of using the M9 as a MIDI controller to switch presets on the Manta. I took the opportunity this weekend to build a new board using this idea.

Signal Path
  • POG2
  • B3K
  • Manta
  • TLC
  • Tone Hammer
  • M9
For the M9, each scene can have 3 active effects "on" at the same time. I use the M9 in Latch Scene mode, so I turn on an entire scene with one stomp. By connecting the M9 to the Source Audio HUB via MIDI, I can change presets on the Manta automatically when I change scenes on the M9. If I understand correctly, you can do this with multiple Source Audio pedals at the same time through the HUB.

What I like about this board:
I'm using a new Pedaltrain NOVO 18 with a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus mounted underneath. This power supply includes a "courtesy outlet" which I can plug my M9 2-prong outlet into (this was a major reason I have stopped using the M9). I also have room to mount the M9 wall-wort and Source Audio HUB under the board. I can get my Space Echo vibe from the M9, and although it takes up a little more room, it provides all of my modulation, delay, reverb; and acts as my tuner and controller for my Manta filters. Best of all, most of my foot switches are right at the front of the board and easy to stomp!

I always like checking out the new stuff you guys are doing on your boards, so I figured I would post up my little story here. Hope you enjoy! Cheers!
