Looper or ABY

Hey!

I would need some kind of switcher or looper to hit several pedals at once.
For example have 3 distortion pedals kick in at once, or delay or reverb. Switch from clean, ambient to dirty.

Instead of tapdancing all of them, which looper du you recommend?
Is one better for or spesific bassguitars?
So I dont end up with one for guitarists.

My budget is not the problem!
For a long time, I tought that an ABY pedal would solve this.
But that is just for switching between different amps/cabs?
Or can I get an ABY Tonebone?

Since I only play mono trough a PF800 into an Ampeg 810e, will a ABY or a/b box solve my problem with this?

I can get a looper bank instead, but they some more complicated than a small petite ABY box! I like the design more when its small like that. Instead of having a long arm on the floor like a looper is.

Is it other switches for several pedals?

I've used an EHX Switchblade to alternate between chains for guitar and bass to go through my bass amp. If you need to get more in depth than two chains, you might benefit from something like this:

I will not get some signal loss from a looper? Or do they work fine?

I bet Boss have figured out how to avoid signal loss.

I bought a Mosky Loop Box on Amazon for about $30. Works great. No tapdancing required.

Edit: There are also inexpensive boxes on Amazon with 2 or 3 loops.

ABY is not the solution here.

If you don’t want a big looper, then get a small looper

Boss LS2 is a classic example that lets you add in a loop. One Control has a couple small loopers/channel switchers. The Black box lets you add/remove two separate loops and you can have A feeding B. The White box lets you switch between A or B.

Signal issues will depend on how long your cable runs are and using a looper won’t impact that. Use the shortest patch and instrument cables that are practically possible for your setup. If that can’t be avoided and you can hear the signal loss, start searching for buffers to combat the signal decay.
