Double Bass Magnetic Pickups and Zyex Strings

Hey All,

I finally got to test a set of Zyex Strings on my Clevenger EUB with it's Bartolini PU that was
featured on the 1985 Clevenger Keyhole. Good news, Zyex strings work with the Bartolini.
So I thought that you all ought to know the results.

Hello Agian,
Well, unfortunately, the Zyex G snapped when I tried to bring it to pitch on the Clevenger. The brass retaining rod that the string
has to pass over likely puts to much tension on the string. The good news is that if you are using a magnetic pickup with a double bass
the Zyex strings will work.
