Markbass Footswitch Dual - Known Alternatives

Hello all,

I’ve recently purchased a Markbass Little Mark Tube Vintage D2 bass amp head, and I CANNOT, for the life of me, find one of their dual foot switches for sale in the US (or anywhere, for that matter).

I’d like to be able to use the boost, and the mute would be nice during setup/tuning and all that, so does anyone know of a compatible dual footswitch?

Have you contacted Markbass Tech Support to see if they will offer any advice.

The MarkBass store only offers this Dual Footswitch

This is probably the right footswitch, but it would be good to confirm since I don't think it mentions your amp specifically. Also if the footswitch is not available in the US maybe they can send you a schematic or specs so you can buy a generic footswitch.

Most likely the two switches are latching. One switch shorts the ring to the sleeve of the connector (ground) and the other switch shorts the tip to the sleeve.

Here is an image I found and modified slightly, that might be compatible:

If Markbass will confirm this will work, it will be easy to find another footswitch that does this. If you want LEDs to indicate the status of each switch, it gets a bit more complicated. Best to contact Markbass so you can get a schematic, rather than buying a footswitch that might work for awhile and then damage your amp.

Do you think they’d provide such? I have to ask companies that question all the time at work, and almost always get turned away due to nondisclosure of intellectual property blah blah blah haha...

If I had a schematic, I could build one myself!

As an aside, where did you get the information for the schematic/graphic you’ve provided? I’d be eager to see if your source has any additional info!

I looked to see if there was any information in the owner's manual and couldn't find anything helpful. You will need to contact the manufacturer, hopefully they will be able to find a solution for you.

Response varies by company and the situation. Doesn't hurt to ask.
