Markbass MB58R Cabinets - Lightweight!

I've never felt strongly either way about Markbass, and I've not heard any of the new MB58R series cabs. But, a one 12" cab with horn that weighs about 23 lbs? I am intrigued!

The light weights seem to be due to "the revolutionary material and technology used for its enclosure" (as well as the use of neodymium speakers).

The only place I've been able to find them for sale is Thomann, and the prices are lower than I would have expected - $515 for the MB58R 121 Energy Box (single 12" with horn).

After tweaking a hamstring recently lifting my Hartke HD112's I'm definitely keeping an eye on these.

Careful with your hammy.
Use a folding hand cart to go distances, then you only need to pick up the cab to load and unload the car and final placement on stage.

A one hand wheeling job is fantastic.

Anybody knowing what material is actually used for thede light cabs? Some composit plastic, polymer, syntetic wood? Anybody?
