Hi,
I have the mesa boogie walk about 1x12 combo and have recently started hearing high pitched, almost squealing like sounds whenever i power on the amp. Usually after a minute or two the noise will go away but it still shouldn't be happening. I tried replace the tubes and have still noticed the noise when it gets turned on. I'm not too tech savvy when it comes troubleshooting with amps, so any idea what this could be?

Does it do this with nothing plugged into the input or the effects loop?

If so, you might give customer service a call. They are more familiar with the history of this model than I am.

If it doesn't make the noise with nothing plugged in, try plugging in a known good bass with a known good cable to eliminate something outside the amp from being the problem. This nois can happen on some active pickup electronics when the battery is failing. Just a thought.

It's not a noisy fan or fan bearing is it? See if the fan is spinning smoothly.
