Hello!

I searched and have not seen a lot about the Subway 410.. I have 2 Ampeg Portaflex 410 right now but feel that it is too big/heavy of a rig and want to switch to Mesa because I love my Subway D-800+. I originally went with 2x 410 because I didn't hear myself too much with only one (my band plays loud.. we play mostly Foo Fighters songs and the 2x Marshall amps and the drums make a lot of noise).

I know I want a Mesa cabinet for sure and am not interested in any other brand but I am not sure which one and I am not very good with gear specs.

I was leaning heavily towards the SW 410 because it is more powerful than the Portaflex, and lighter, but even though it is more powerful (it would take 800W from the subway amp, instead of 400) I know it won't be as loud as 2x Ampeg 410s due to the surface coverage (if that's the term to use). So I started looking into the other smaller ones that would also be easy to transport, and I saw the 115/210 combo gets a lot of love. It would get more surface coverage than the 410, be higher so closer to my hear, and would use the same power in the end (400W for each) and I only read amazing things about the 115.

Between the SW410 and SW115/210 combo, which one would you choose and why? If you would choose another Mesa combo, which one?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I have a pair of SW 410s. Best darn cabs on the planet right now. One with a D-800+ will tame a pair of Marshall's. They are so full bodied. Usually I put one on each side of the drummer. You will be heard. Oh by the way... I have the D-800+. It's my favorite Mesa head. And I have the WD-800 and the TT-800.

I would not be able to buy 2x 410 even in the long term unfortunately (but that would be the dream!), so taking this into account would you still recommend only one 410 over the 115/210 combo for loudness/portability? Thanks! :)
