I posted this earlier in Luthiers Corner. Perhaps that was the wrong place:

I have been monitoring the usual outlets for deals as I often do and I realized that Mighty Mite bass bodies are in short supply. You might find an occaisional Jazz body, but Precisions are harder to find than a white rhino. A quick check on MM website was worse (their website is severely anemic as always).
Anything I should know?

They stopped making bodies about a year ago. I was fortunate to get one of the last ones. All they do now is necks and pickups.

Oh wow. Thanks fellas.
I guess I ignorantly got in on a good thing. I swooped in on a few myself not realizing that the clock was ticking.
Too bad, I really liked their bodies and they were very competitively priced.
So I guess that leaves Warmoth and the other more pricey companies huh?

Good question. MM really fit a niche for good bodies at reasonable prices. Who else is there? At this point, if I needed a body for a project that didn't require some crazy specs, I'd probably just buy a used Squier Affinity for like $50 bucks and part out the rest.

A couple of searches have yielded a supply of Mexican Fender P-bass bodirs at thr usual outlets for $169ish.
However you serm to be stuck with white or brown sunburst. Who knows what's underneath the finish. I prefer to pick my colors.
Oh well....
