Mike Pope Flexcore users: passive tone control?

Question for anyone who has owned/used the Michael Pope Designs Flexcore preamp/EQ with the Passive Tone control option:

Is the Passive Tone control only for use when the bass is in passive mode? or does it also work simultaneously with the active Treble control when in active mode?

And, if the latter is true, how do you find yourselves using it? i.e., when do you choose to roll off the active Treble control versus backing off the Passive Tone control?

yes sir it does work in active mode!! i love the tone rolled off a bit in active mode with the low-mids and treble boosted a tad!!

I like using backing off the tone control with my bridge pickup for solo'ing....has a "muted" (not sharp) aggresiveness that I really like
