Have to do some touring overseas soon, and need a good solid double bag. Down to the mono or the fusion. Mono is reviewed everywhere but the Fusion not so much. Has anyone had first hand experience with the Fusion? Is there a comparable double bag besides these two? Thanks!

MF just started carrying the Fusion bags, and there's some promo/demo videos on youtube. I have never used it, so I can't comment on them specifically. They do look nice, but big and bulky.

Personally, I think the Mono is the best solution overall. It's well thought out, very protective, and has seperate compartments so you can take out one bass at a time. The only knock I would say is it doesn't have a ton of storage (even with the tick), but then it would be bigger and bulkier. And it (like most mono cases) doesn't do bigger headstocks well. My Lakland 5's fit, but the B and G string tuners are pushing in to the padding on the sides. Not a deal breaker, and not causing damage to the case or the tuners.

I also had an iGig G515D double bag, and I could see why people like it, ut it wasn't for me - it does have a lot of storage, but there's not as much structure or protection as the Mono, and it's not two seperate compartments, so taking out one bass at a time isn't as easy as a Mono. I also felt like it was a little thin (dwpth-wise), and with two basses, it felt kind of overstuffed. Ymmv, but I think the Mono would be better for touring than the iGig.
