Mosquito Blender Polarity switch

Does anyone have the Mosquito Blender Expressio pedal or something similar? I'm having a problem where I have to constantly switch the polarity button.

I have an MXR bass envelope and a EHX Octavix fuzz both in the send and return chain and if I want to switch back and forth between those pedals I have to switch the polarity each time otherwise the low end is not there in the effect pedal. Is this normal? Would love to not have to do this as you can't really stomp it with your foot. The switch is so small.

Hope someone can help!

There are some pedals that have a polarity issue like that the only solutions are to run 2 loop pedals or find pedals that work together. This is more common when mixing pedal makers and vintage effect types that the EHX is recreating. Octave fuzz pedals with a vintage design are particularly prone to have a polarity issue due to the way the circuits work and the way they process signal.

I would guess that one of the two pedals flips the polarity (probably the Octavia) while the other pedal has standard polarity. When you have the reversed polarity pedal engaged the phase switch flips it so it is normal again, but then having that phase switch engaged will now make the phase of the loop reversed for any pedal which uses normal polarity. Your best bet as mentioned is to find a way to flip the phase of just the one pedal that needs it, or replace it with a similar pedal that doesn’t need it!
