Moving on from short scale to full size

I finally decided to give up my short-scale Fender Mustang bass for a full-scale bass. I want to sell the Mustang but don't know how to price it. I don't remember what I paid for it new. It's one of the ones made in Japan, and is about seven years old. No wear (used as student instrument inside my apt) and only one blemish on front of body (1/4 inch scorch mark caused by getting touched by a soldering iron [long story]). Other Mustangs on eBay are selling for anywhere from $400 to $1,200. Advice?
