Musician's Friend and Guitar Center Online Stock?

Sorry if this has been asked before...I did some research, but couldn't really find an answer.

So, I wanted to order a Warwick German Thumb from the GC platinum site because I have a tone of thier gift cards. However, there are no pictures of the German Thumb in the listing.

I called them and used thier chat feature...No one could tell me the serial number, when it was delivered to the GC warehouse, or if it was the newest version with the matches wood tuners and truss rod cover.

However, I found the same bass on MF with updated pictures and you could pick the serial number of the bass you wanted. They had the newer model.

Just wondering if anyone knows if they share stock? I saw that the wearhouses are in the same area in Kansas.

Pretty horrible that GC couldn't tell me anything about the bass they have. I mean, I want to buy a $3200 instrument and I was told the only way to k ow if it's the updated model is to buy it. Lol.

GC owns MF, but they say that they can't get items from the MF warehouse. I tend to believe that, since there have been a times that either MF or GC were out of an item I wanted, while the other had it in stock. If it were a simple matter of shipping the item from the other's warehouse to make the sale, I'm sure they would.
