People who own an MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe, do me a favor (favour for those across the pond, or pohnde), plug in, turn it on, turn the "dry" all the way down and the "wet" all the way up. Do you hear a bit of a hum? Not wildly offensive, but a noticeable difference than when you do the reverse (i.e. dry all the way up and wet all the way down).

I expect that one would hear something as this is a dirt pedal and when driven hard there is likely to be some sound from the wet side, and nothing from the dry (or at least nothing different than if you plugged directly into your amp). This hum should reduce proportionally as you reduce the level of the wet signal, and since this pedal doesnt have a gate.

Lemme know. Trying to settle a bet, so to say. Thanks team.

I have a question for fuzz deluxe users: How do you adjust gain, when there is no gain knob? I can get beautiful fuzz tones out of the thing, but only with a huge signal boost. I need to be able to switch back and forth. I've played with the settings, and I can get a lower volume, but the fuzz then isn't very fuzzy. What to do?

The Fuzz knob is usually equivalent to gain.

The Dry knob is essentially volume of your dry signal, Wet is the volume of the fuzz sound. Fuzz is the intensity of the fuzz (so, the gain). You can get a super beefy tone with the dry and wet equivalent at unity volume, then turn the tone down and put the fuzz to your liking (I had it at noon). Super cool pedal. Have you downloaded the manual from Dunlop? That may prove helpful.

Why would I read the manual when I have you guys? (Kidding. Thanks for the tip. I will RTFM.)
