My 50,s classic fender precision has a 1 7/8 nut.

Anyone else have this? My other 62 reissue has a 1 3/4 nut which I like alot better. the 1 7/8 is just a tad to big. yet on the fender web site it say that it has a 1 .75 (1 3/4) nut width. odd.

I've never seen a nut width that big on a 4-string. That's not unusual for a 5-er.
