I bought this 2009 vintage modified squier jazz back in Jan 2020 for $260 including hardshell case.
It was largely unused and had the
Oe strings which, barely qualify as strings. Otherwise the bass is pristine and the fingerboard has a bit of Birdseye.
Fast forward to 2023, I did a setup job with slinky roundwounds and ordered a set of 'Ultra jazz noiseless '
Pickups from fender. Wow! Sounds and plays killer! Now it is my go to 4 string.
It can do a pbass tone with no noise and the jazz tone is top notch
