I do not have Paul's famous Rickenbacker book yet but I have seen Vintage Rick's in many colors but I have only seen White with a Black Pickguard a very few amount of times. Can anyone tell me more about the Tuxedo Rick....very a little information online about this color.

All depends on your definition of "tuxedo." Many use the term tuxedo generically to describe a white Rick with black trim - usually that means black body binding and black plastic pick guard and truss-rod cover on a 4001. Later white Ricks (4003) had black neck binding as well, and some had blackened hardware (tailpiece, pickup covers, tuners, strap pins). Then there is the official "Tuxedo" model, the 4003SPC Tuxedo which was a 4003S (no binding) that had black trim and hardware. There were a little more than a hundred made in 1987. The most unusual thing about it was the painted fingerboard (maple, BTW) with tiny "pin dot" position markers on the face of the board. White usually yellowed badly (probably the clear coat that yellowed). Here's a shot of the Tuxedo with the other 4003SPC models, the "Blackstar" and the "Redneck."
