I swear I wasn’t in the market for a new head.
I just ordered a GSS Baby Sumo power amp to be used in conjunction with a Laney Digbeth pedal, and I was in the sho p to buy a Laney N210 cabinet.
Then this Nexus SL showed up, at an insanely low price (I mean less than what I paid for the Digbeth pedal…) and I couldn’t resist….
Now, I have two questions for you guys.
1. I’m not used to the double output (master and slave) and Impedence switch (4 and 8 Ohm). If I load just one cabinet it’s clear, what about 2x8 Ohms?
2. The valve: does it need a regular maintenance/revision ?
Here’s a pic…

No need to change the preamp tubes ever, except… I don't know, but never heard of someone who had to change his preamp tubes.

Impedence:
- If you have a single cab, just select on the amp the impedence that matchs the cab's impedence and forget it. So if your Ashdown cab is 8ohm, set the amp to 8ohm, and if it's 4ohm set the amp to 4ohm.
- I you use two 8ohm cabs, set the amp to 4ohm

That part is very clear, but my post was incomplete...sorry. This amp has two speakon outputs - master & slave -
I found online a pdf version of the manual. That goes like this...
