Today started crummy but the bass gods are showering blessings, so here's a double dose of good mojo....
First, Bass Trees!
The Hang-It Triple Guitar Stands from On Stage arrived today, and I'm delighted to say, they fit the bill! They hold my basses in a stable way (loaded with 1, 2, and 3 basses) and I no longer have to drill the bejesus out of the walls! When my basses are outta their cases, they simply get played / rotated more and floor space is reclaimed. The reviews on Amazon are mixed, so I wanted to let people know that they work for big-boy instruments too. Gonna cover the cheap foam with something inert and rock on.
And my dream amp.
The first time I practiced with a band, this was the head the other bassist used. I was floored by the sound. Thanks to @heath_r_91, today's arrival has been kept in pristine condition. I played at low volumes tonight, and basked in the buttery sounds of my Pbass with flats and low gain on my first all tube head. Sounds better than ones I've borrowed.
I love my Terror Bass (my back seems to prefer it), but now I have that sound that hit me over a decade ago. Gain-grind rolls on subtly to great effect. The lows are smooth, round, and they blend seamlessly into creamy mids. Haven't done much EQing because I like everything that was dialed up. I cannot wait to blast this thing thru the pair of fEARful 15/6s (full rig reveal to follow). I'm in bass heaven. I can't wait to battle my drummer.....
