Today started crummy but the bass gods are showering blessings, so here's a double dose of good mojo....

First, Bass Trees!

The Hang-It Triple Guitar Stands from On Stage arrived today, and I'm delighted to say, they fit the bill! They hold my basses in a stable way (loaded with 1, 2, and 3 basses) and I no longer have to drill the bejesus out of the walls! When my basses are outta their cases, they simply get played / rotated more and floor space is reclaimed. The reviews on Amazon are mixed, so I wanted to let people know that they work for big-boy instruments too. :D Gonna cover the cheap foam with something inert and rock on.

And my dream amp.

The first time I practiced with a band, this was the head the other bassist used. I was floored by the sound. Thanks to @heath_r_91, today's arrival has been kept in pristine condition. I played at low volumes tonight, and basked in the buttery sounds of my Pbass with flats and low gain on my first all tube head. Sounds better than ones I've borrowed.

I love my Terror Bass (my back seems to prefer it), but now I have that sound that hit me over a decade ago. :woot: Gain-grind rolls on subtly to great effect. The lows are smooth, round, and they blend seamlessly into creamy mids. Haven't done much EQing because I like everything that was dialed up. I cannot wait to blast this thing thru the pair of fEARful 15/6s (full rig reveal to follow). I'm in bass heaven. I can't wait to battle my drummer.....

Today, I cranked it up thru my Hartke 810 and I'm astounded. This amp is loud. With the gain set to "1", the volume at noon/5 it pumps out a ton of clean tone. Reversing the two unleashes a growl that really does it for me. That growl paired with a Spector NS-2 (wich already growls well) provides the gnarliest sound on earth. I cannot wait to hear it in the mix. EQing is very effective. Between the amp and the bass (no pedals), I can achieve a huge variety of tones. From buttery and smooth to brittle and driven and everything between.

I cannot think of any way for me to GAS for at LEAST the rest of the year! (trying to be realistic) ;)

Congrats!
That's my dream amp too. I have a Terror Bass and that buttery Orange tone is pure bliss. I run the pre out to my tube headphone amp and it sounds incredible, I can't even imagine how glorious the ad200b sounds through an 8x10

Congrats I got my AD200B about four months ago and I love it I had a choice between keeping my Heritage SVT and this amp and the Orange won out I just love it and it's a lot louder than people give it credit for.

My only complaint is they ship with the cheapest tubes check to see what year yours was made? I think they stop using Winged C power tubes in 2007? I changed my preamp tubes to all JJ's made a nice difference I also plan on dumping these power tubes for either Winged C's or JJ's. I love this amp its just a beautiful bass sound so simple and so sweet.

The 6550s are Winged Cs. The 12ax7 are unmarked, (maybe Sovtek?) . The amp was born 08/09 and the previous owner had it re-tubed in 2013. Still new to a tubed power section, but I like what I hear!
