I started off getting the pedal preamp and running it with my SVT II, which sounded great. I had intentions going all rack version, but Ben told me he was no longer making the rack pre's, which is how I ended up with the pedal.

After using the pedal for a few months, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and order what I really wanted in the first place: a white tolex, spalted face, meatsmoke with added Jensen DI. Since I first started talking with Ben and ordered my pre it has been about 18 months in the making, but I am finally on the precipice of completing my dream rig!

Hahaha....Yeah, I had a hand. And, thankfully, I have enthusiastic band mates that are happy to help lift and move gear!

Im not familiar with DI's that much..what do you need it for? Are you somehow not able to connect the cab directly to the amp?

If the gig has the bass going through the PA, then going DI is usually a more convenient option than miking a bass cab.
