This is my first NAD post on here, but I figured this one would be worth it. Today this new to me Verellen Meatsmoke amplifier made it here in New Hampshire via North Carolina. Thanks Jeff! I haven't had the chance to dial it in, but am headed to the practice space very soon to get it ready for a sold out show tonight. I feel like a kid on Christmas. I can't wait.

It was phenomenal. Not just in awe of the amp n itself, it's the best my tone has ever been. I only had twenty minutes to dial it in before a sold out show, and it didn't miss a beat. It's a heavy monster, but worth the workout. It's a good feeling to not be gassing after amps. I love it, and can't wait until tomorrow for practice. Gotta love a piece of gear that inspires you to play. There is something in those tubes that is contagious.

Duke, you are an enabler of the highest order!

Dude. I switch back an forth betwe the meatsmoke and the new Kalaloch.

The meatsmoke is the best tube amp I've ever played. And the Kalaloch is just a blank canvas for preamp junkies like me. Add 4 or 5 preamp pedals in front and it's like having a crap load of amps with u.

But the meatsmoke is still my go to for tube tone!!!!

That's probably one if the best assessments of those two amps I've heard. The Kalaloch sounds like an awesome medium fit tone shaping with preamps and pedals. I have also heard that the Meatsmoke takes quite well to pedals too.

I'm excited for you. If you know enough about what these amps do to order one directly, I would believe it would be incredibly hard to be disappointed. Please let me know what you think when you get a chance to play it.

Me too. Monday! You scored on yours man.
You can get them with all sorts of awesome stuff, fx loop, power cut switch, di, more gain, etc...
excite.

Anyone have an input as to how the Meatsmoke compares to a Super Bassman?

In the vid clips I've seen on youtube for Meatsmoke, the tone just seems unbelievable-- but video clips can lie. Super Bassman would look much better with my silver-cloth-grill Barefaced Four10, and would be a heck of a lot cheaper than a Meatsmoke, but in the end it's about tone and not looks. (It's a little about cost though).
