So my main gigging amp is a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0. Awesome amp but concerned it is getting old. So a month ago I bought a Warwick Gnome, the tiny 200W model. Figured it would be a good backup I can keep in my gig bag or car just in case. Well it surprised me how great it sounded and loud. So started thinking wouldn’t be a bad idea to have another higher power amp in the stable. So I liked that little Gnome so much I got the 600W model.

First I gotta say this thing is built like a tank. Real heavy duty metal case. And those blue LEDs on the front panel are cool! I know some people complained they are too bright! So I will be using it with my GR Bass 210 8 ohm cabinet. So at 8 ohms the Gnome is 400W. Plenty!

So like the little Gnome, a loud amp. Tone wise I found it very transparent and crisp. Very impressed for sure. This amp will have no problem running two of my GR Bass cabinets. And got a great deal on it. So overall, very happy with it!

Here’s the same cabinet with the little 200W Gnome.

Glad to hear the 600 is a winner! I love my little Gnome and have been very curious about the 600. Does the EQ seem the same? Only thing that held me back is I prefer a little more DI control on my gigging amps.

Still have this on my list though.
I forget the model but I had a 2 channel Warwick amp years back which was also a very solid amp. Surprised you don't hear more about these.
LWA1000?

The Gnome is just a 3 band eq. The 600 has a 4 band eq.

HORSEFEATHERS!!

No such thing as "too bright LEDs"

(Notice my "avatar photo" of my Genz Benz Shuttle's BLUE LEDs).
My eyes are still just fine.

Congrats on the New amp, btw. :bassist:

Actually it is really bright, more than my Shuttle. On a dark stage I could not see the text printed above each control knob. Luckily the layout is pretty straight forward. Gain - Bass - Mid Low - Mid High - Treble - Master Vol
