Nashville TN - Any techs in the area that can install pickups this weekend?

I've got a new Sadowsky and a set of Aguilar pickups that I'd like to have installed - but I have zero soldering/electronics skills and not willing to experiment with my new 3K dollar bass.

Anyone know of a tech in the Nashville area that can do installs in short time periods?

There are plenty of guys - like Corner Music and Fannys - that can do it, but they are usually booked for a week or two before they can get to it.

If so, feel free to PM me your rate, thanks!

Good luck with this. Everyone I deal with here that I trust is booked solid. I'm always quoted a week to do even a setup. I can do passive pickup installs, or quick connect EMG stuff, but that's as far as I would go personally. I don't blame you for not wanting to mess with that expensive instrument yourself. If you want it done right, it's going to take time. Too many musicians here, and not enough of the good techs to keep up with demand.

I actually took it to Corner Music this morning and Jeff totally hooked me up right there on the spot.

Granted, if it's something big you're gonna need to leave it for at least a week. Since they are the best in town, they stay really busy.

However I had already installed the pickups and they only needed soldering so he and his assistant did it right there in a matter of minutes and I'm able to play my upgraded bass this weekend!

Super great guys and super great store all around. Can't say enough good things about them.

Corner is the place I always go. You caught Jeff on a good day, man! He's a great guy, but puts up with a lot of crap from stupid people who shop there, so he's not always in the greatest mood. Did you see his wall of shame with all the badly soldered harnesses on it? It's funny! I'm glad he was able to help you out so quickly! If I just need something checked out, he'll look at it quick for me, or answer questions I might have. He's one of the best in town, and I trust him with all the stuff I own.

This sounds like a great business opportunity for a skilled tech to jump on in that town!

We have plenty of techs. The problem is that only some of them are good. There are lots of hacks that don't do a good job. The guy I use has a wall of shame with a bunch of wiring harnesses hung on it that he had to replace due to the bad techs in town. It has the worst soldering jobs I've ever seen.
