OK, I hate to complain while this guy's selling pickups, but...
Around 0:40 he says he used to use active pickups, but he had problems like "wires coming loose." Last time I checked, Lace pickups have wires running between the pickups and the pots. Right? So going passive wouldn't solve the problem of a poorly assembled bass. Soldering doesn't work better on passive setups, correct? Unless Lace has developed a new way to get the signal from the pickup to the volume and tone knobs, you gotta deal with wires...
I'm not knocking the pickups or Lace or even passive setups in general, but be honest. Or maybe he doesn't know any better.
