Picked this beauty up Tuesday from the original owner, a female bass player. Serial shows to be 1990/91. Cindy has taken great care of it as evidenced by the pictures. It had a great set -up and conditioned fret-board and the strings, while not brand new, don't need to be replaced. I picked it right up and it played flawlessly. Pick-ups were adjusted near perfectly. The only change that I made was to drop the saddles just a bit for that real low action that I like.

From what I can find, the color is Frost Red and is in great condition. Other than that, I've not located a bunch of info on it. So, here I present it for TB's very knowledgeable members to tell me or direct me on what you know. Other than serial #, the only other numbers are on the neck at the pocket PIR 65R and in the neck pocket PJR 65EX.

Also, it's missing the gear cover from one of the tuners and one cap cover for one of the adjustment knobs. I'd love to locate those 2 items so this baby would be super choice. Any leads would

BTW - it also came with the original Fender case. :)

Belated congratulations. Sorry I didn't find this thread earlier. It's a beautiful bass, and I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it.

I have a sunburst P Lyte that has been extensively modified and defretted, and it is simply awesome. I've been trying to find original parts for it, but they're very rare.

I suspect the gear cover from a standard Gotoh GB7 tuner will fit, but obviously wouldn't be authentic.

I've been searching for knobs for my P Lyte for about 6 months with no luck. Besides original knobs, I need an original bridge, pickups and preamp. I might as well buy a complete spare P Lyte, but even complete basses are rare.

Enjoy your new bass!
