NBD Beautiful Trans Blue SBMM RAY5 SUB

Delivered yesterday and straight to rehearsal last night. So far I'm definitely digging the fit, finish and setup. Jury is still out on the tone, as I was playing through the practice rig in the rehearsal space. I have a gig next Friday so the real test will be with my gig rig.

I know that it doesn't have the 3 band EQ like my EBMM Ray 5, and also missing that 3 position switch. Still it gets a nice deep tone, with lots of bite. It weighs less than 10 pounds so that's a plus as well. The frets were nicely dressed with no sprouts.

I have to say that the finish looks different from certain angles with a green tinge to it. I kinda like it.

Stay Tuned...

Well I was able to play it last week at rehearsal. It sounded and felt great! Only problem was that I was playing through an old Acoustic 15, and I think it was lacking some definition. I have another rehearsal tonight, and I will be bringing my STM-900 and Fender Rumble 210 cab. Plus I have a gig this Friday, and that will be the real test.

Nice bass, are the strings still stock? I got a new bass and put different strings on it and the tone change was night and day.
