May I share my NBD with you?

In honor of Buck Owens and the Buckeroos, my bass build. Silver sparkle P Bass.

Sent an Allparts one piece swamp ash body (3lbs 14oz) to Marty Bell in California for a silver sparkle finish. I've been lusting for a silver sparkle P Bass for several years now.

I just got this all put together yesterday, 10-27-16. Total weight is 7 lbs 10.5 oz. Probably got around $900ish in it. Paint job alone was $360.

Assorted parts, Fender vintage bridge, pickguard, thumb bar, strap buttons, knobs, alloy neck plate. Aero Instruments P pickup. CTS pots with a no load pot for the tone. Res O Lite tuners by Gotoh, TI flats, Allparts neck with Gun Stock Oil finish.

How does it sound? Umm, like a P Bass! This light weight bass is refreshing to wear and the sparkle finish is out of this world! Great job, Marty Bell!

Thank-you for looking and sharing my joy. (On to my next GAS! Such a sickness!)

So, so photos. Dark and rainy today.

I like watching videos of Buck's band during the Crystal Palace came put of retirement era. Butt kickin-est hardcore country band he had, and Doyle Curtsinger plays some really nice P's with classic tone.

When I'm in a mood for country gimme some Bakersfield twang.

Marty Bell does incredible work. He did my Royal Blue sparkle G&L wunkay and it's gorgeous.
