This is it! PREMIERE!!!
It is re-creation of historic "Acoustic" Black Widow bass by Eastwood guitars.
I need to change strings, before I can say anything about sound. First impression : This would be helluva rock bass with Rotosound strings, Very aggressive sound. Chambered body, 1 pick up (kind of - P position), neck THICK (old school something like Epiphone/Gibson EB0 style) 1.5" on the ZERO fret (it has Zero fret) String spacing - about 19mm. It has a slight neck dive.
It needed basic intonation, trussrod, bla bla bla setup. I will leave it couple of days in the room for the wood to get used to have house... change strings (ouch, what to get here??? still thinking what would fit well) and If I am in the mood maybe to make short Youtube video.

Thanks for posting these photos. I am waiting for my black widow to arrive. Until now I have been imagining what the bass actually looks like. The single photo on the Eastwood site doesn't give too much information.

How do you feel about this now that you've had it for a while? I like simple basses and this one is super cool looking.
Simplicity is the key. I like it. However, I think it's overpriced a bit. But, there is potential to upgrade, bridge for example.
It does have certain growl in that pickup. I did not play it out, yet. But, I think it will be fine for some sort of rock, blues-rock and similar genres, maybe even blues itself. I don't think it will go any further than that.

it's a wide decades long spectrum but any bass that "Sounds like Jack Bruce's bass" is right up my alley!
if it handles classic rock well then that's probably all I need, I like that you say it has a natural grittiness.
is there anything you can compare it to or is it rather unique in it's sound? unique can be very good.

K200 had the same bridge and the same pickup plus neck pickup (that gives that boomy sound in this video).
