I'm pretty jazzed (ha!) about how this turned out. It's my 2nd build and my 5th bass.
It consists of:
Warmoth swamp ash J Bass body (finished by me with ColorTone liquid stains and wipe-on gloss poly)
Warmoth maple neck with an ebony fingerboard (finished by them in satin nitro)
Audere Pro JZ6D preamp
Nordstrand Big J-Blade pickups
Hipshot Ultralite Tuners
Hipshot A style bridge
Hipshot 3 String Retainer
Hipshot O-ring knobs (I had to drill them out a bit to make them fit on the Audere)
EB Super Slinky Cobalt strings
All of the cavities are shielded with copper tape.
I think the only thing that I'd change about it is that I wish the truss rod adjustment was at the headstock instead of under the pickguard.
Now I guess I don't really have an excuse for not working on the kitchen remodeling that the wife has been pestering me about. I think that she's under the impression that building a bass isn't as important as not having a construction zone for a kitchen.
