i installed some gotoh GB350 res-o-lite heads on mine and it saved 3 oz on the headstock eliminating what little neck dive that it had. i also installed two silver pickup bezels over the chrome ones since the stock chrome ones just didn't look 'vintage' to me. both of the mods are completely reversible back to stock (i.e. didn't require drilling any new holes), but i do like the way that it looks a bit better now.

Very pretty. I just had a Gretsch 5420 Guitar in for a roller bridge and got to play with it a while. Gretsch guitars are so unique, it appears to me that they tool up and make darn near EVERY component... like even the machined knurled strap buttons. A Gretsch bass would be cool to own.
