NBD... New Warrior Spalted Maple with Birdseye Fretboard...

Well I blame JD for this one. I have this beautiful New Demo Spalted Maple DM5 coming my way. He has to make the matching Wood covers first but should be my way by mid week. I just couldn't resist getting one with my favorite wood top.

JD just sent a updated picture of the pickup covers installed. He has to darken up and oil the covers and body today. After setup this beauty will be heading my way.

That's Sweet, the fretboard is killer, as well as the rest of the bass, especially the fretboard. Did I mention that I really like that fretboard.

That is a real beauty!!!! The spalt is right there and the bird'seye in the FB is killer.

Wow! I love that strip of abalone(?) binding along the edges of the FB.
There's something about abalone that speaks to me....)

So what's wood report for neck and body?

I play 4's myself and have always been attracted to Warrior shapes/progressions.
Their work is clearly first rate.
Would love to own one someday - read "I'd love to find one to try out to clinch it!". :woot:

Warrior is definitely on my "Maybe one day in the future it'll all (incredibly) come together!" list.

Just got Word from JD that he's started the Matching Wood Covers this morning and will be shipping to me by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. I'm excited about getting this beauty.

I did have to sale the Rosewood to get this one. So I have 2 now. THis is my favorite wood so I had to jump on it when JD made me a great offer.

Updated picture from JD this morning on my bass almost finished. He has to darken the wood pickup covers up and oil the body and then setup. Should be heading my way tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.
