Finally!
I't been like a year or 4 ago since I bought my last bass (I'm not a gear head by any means) and what triggered me this time was both the guitarists in my band started getting into acoustic guitars and wanted to play an "unplugged" set.....which is my excuse to the wife anyway.
Originally I was going to get a new Macbook Pro for editing images, but fully spec'ed out that thing came to about US$ 4K, which I felt was a bit overkill for a piece of digital junk which I'd have trouble getting rid of in a couple years down the line.
Besides, I've always wanted to get a semi acoustic fretless bass (I have a fretless U-Bass, which I do enjoy a lot) and one day it just hit me that RA's Deep 4 was just about the price point of the Macbook Pro and it happened that Bass Direct from the UK just had the one model in stock I really wanted, unlined fretless, so I spontaneously emptied my cart on the Apple online shop and send the payment to Bass Direct instead
Anyway, here are some shots and needless to say, I'm stoked, this thing sounds and plays amazing, WOW!
