Thanks, I think so too. Have not had a chance to weigh it yet but I would say in the 8 lb. range.

Nut width & neck shape would be very similar to my MIA P-Bass. Not overly chunky but a little bigger than the normal J-Bass shape for sure. Pickup sounds great! I didn't think I would like it but the new band I'm jamming with is doing some ZZ-Top covers so I started some research and really started "gassing" hard for one of these. If your familiar with my posts, you know I'm a Jazz guy through and through but I gotta say, this one has quite a tone, all I can describe it as is a "bark" if that makes sense. It's so good that it inspired me to order a slab body and a Fender neck and plan to build one of my own so I can have a backup to this one. Will bring this one to our next rehearsal as well, I'm sure it will go over great!

Thanks for the description. I've been looking for one in LPB, but they are pretty hard to come by these days. These Squier basses are a really god value IMO. I have a Squier Chris Aiken P-Bass, and it sounds & plays great without any mods.

Nice!, I have one with the white finish. The only thing I didn't care for was the pick up, I replaced mine with a Seymour Duncan SCPB2. Enjoy, they're great basses.

Nice. I have one the older lake placid blue ones, and it is a great bass. Also, I really like the stock pickup which is Alnico 5 just like the original.
