I bought a 5 string Flashback in 1996 and played it a little and couldn't get the sound I wanted out of those beautiful passive pick-ups. I took it back to Zapf's Music in Philadelphia and exchanged it for a Masterman 5. I loved the sound much better, but regret not keeping it.

While living in Memphis in the mid-90's, I played a Flashback 5 and have wanted one ever since. Don't know if I could still handle the weight, but the tone of those Ken Armstrong lipsticks still haunts me.
